The Blitz Kids release their new single ‘On My Own’, and announce new Headline Dates!

You may have already heard of the Blitz Kids, they’re the upcoming band that everyone seems to be talking about at the moment. After the recent success of their new album ‘The Good Youth’ and their sell-out UK headline tour, Blitz Kids will be releasing their eagerly anticipated new single ‘On My Own’ on March 31st. Their last single ‘Sometimes’ was featured on Radio 1, Kerrang and Radio XFM playlists and they’re currently touring with All Time Low throughout Europe. They have already been confirmed to play at a number of 2014 festivals including Sonisphere and Takedown festival but not before they tackle their own headline tour, plus acting as main support for Canterbury in April. Blitz Kids are made up of Joe James on vocals, Jono Yates on Guitar, Nic Montgomery on Bass and Matt Freer on Drums.

‘On My Own’ is an eclectic combination of focus, melody, aggression and ambition, with excellent production from John Feldmann who, without a doubt, has brought out the best of the band.

The video for ‘On My Own’ can be seen here:

As the band explain: “This song is about being at rock bottom. It’s a place we’ve all experienced as a band, and I’m sure many others have too. It’s basically saying that if you look to the right places, you can find a way out. Help and a solution is always closer than you think. So put down the bottle and call a friend!”

The band have previously played at last year’s SXSW, and have recently undertaken UK and European tours with the likes of Lower Than Atlantis, Young Guns, Tonight Alive, Kids In Glass Houses, Mayday Parade, Mallory Knox and Canterbury among others. They have also played the UK’s biggest and most prestigious festivals, such as Download, Sonisphere, Slam Dunk and Hevy.
